The trail is a section of a larger route linking medieval penitential crosses located in the area of operation of the LAGs Gromnik, Ślężanie and Lider. The Gromnik section is an approx. 60 km route by car, plus a walk or bike ride in the mountains surrounding the mountain Gromnik, where you can find the so-called Gypsy Cross. The shortest way to this cross leads from the parking lot under Gromnik (near the village of Romanów). The stone crosses are a reminder of the now mostly anonymous crimes committed in the Middle Ages. They were erected at murder sites by the perpetrators themselves based on a law that existed in this region between the fourteenth and sixteenth century. Many crosses were transferred to church yards, so that the route also offers you an opportunity to explore the wide range of religious monuments in the visited municipalities.
