Information
The penitential cross date from the 14th or 15th century. It is a remembrance of the law in force in the Middle Ages, which ordered murderers to forge a stone cross and set it at the scene of the crime. Here, the object has been embedded into the stone wall surrounding the church of St. Bartholomew, on the right side of the gate leading into the parish.
