Chapel of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Sulistrowiczki
Located in Sulistrowiczki, belonging to the parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, made of spruce wood, set on a granite foundation. Built between 1992 and 2000.
The structure of the chapel is very unusual. It was based on the plan of a regular heptagon, as a reference to the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. The shape of the temple, referring to the Zakopane, Podhale style, is foreign to the architecture of Lower Silesia, which was the cause of numerous controversies.
Interesting are the stained glass windows depicting plants found in the Sulistrowicka Meadow, as well as the combination of pagan and Christian symbolism. The main altar is made of granite and contains relics and a stone from the Cenacle. The altar is supported by two stone figures of a Ślęża teddy bear, referring to the pagan cult of the tribes who previously lived here.
Windows in the shape of Jerusalem and Roman crosses filled with stained glass with the Stations of the Cross.
Next to the chapel there is a free-standing bell tower in the form of an elongated column chapel with a lantern.
Next to the temple there is a separate bell tower in the form of a chapel with a lantern.
