Palace in Sokolniki

The palace in Sokolniki comes from ca. 1700. It was the ancestral seat of the family von Pein. It was built in place of a 16th-century mansion. The owners often changed and the palace was rebuilt several times. The Baroque building was erected on a rectangular plan. The center of the west facade is adorned with a projection. On the east facade you will find a balcony with an openwork balustrade and the coat of arms of the family von Pein above. The palace is surrounded by a dry moat.
