Palace

Information

  • Address: 57-150 Komorowice
The earliest mention of the Komorowice palace dates back to 1529 when it was purchased by Melchior Hirschow von Kaltenbrunn, a Wrocław burgher. Despite repeated reconstructions, particularly the thorough extension carried out in 1700, older Renaissance elements, such as window frames, have survived. Throughout the years, the palace frequently changed its owners. The last proprietors of the estate were the von Schonberg family. After WWII, the building housed a sheep breeders' training center. On account of that, it underwent partial renovation in the 1970s. At present, it is private property awaiting restoration. The front facade is embellished with a turret which contains the entrance to the building. Above it, you can find the coat of arms that is similar to the one found on the epitaph set in the southern facade.
